It seems that President Obama can’t even go a week without being taken to task by the media for his tendency to, umm, “embellish” the achievements of his namesake health insurance law.
Once again the Washington Post decided that the president deserved “4 Pinocchios” for his claim that about 7 million people have gotten access to health insurance for the first time thanks to him. Of course, he made these remarks in a speech to the Democrat Governor’s Association, so no one in that room doubted his accuracy at all.
It’s becoming a bit tiresome for the Post to keep pointing out when the President is making things up. As they note,
“The Fact Checker has written several times about the fuzziness of the Medicaid numbers issued by the Obama administration. But it is like playing whack-a-mole. Every time we rap someone for getting it wrong, the same problem pops up someplace else.”
