Seattle Mayor Ed Murray picked May Day to announce his plan to implement a $15 min. wage. The Seattle Times,
“The plan would then go to the City Council for discussion. Labor interests are threatening a November ballot measure if the wage hike doesn’t happen fast enough.
“Murray has called a 10:30 a.m. news conference to announce his proposal.”
