Rep. Darrell Issa, House Oversight Committee, has “subpoenaed MIT economist Jonathan Gruber for all documents related to his government work on the Affordable Care Act.” Politico,
At a committee hearing this week, which was prompted in part by his controversial comments about the passage of the ACA, Gruber refused to provide details about how much he was paid by federal and state governments for his consulting services on the health care law.
The subpoena Issa issued late Thursday asks Gruber for all documents and communications to or from government employees relating to Obamacare and contracts with government, as well as any results from the economist’s work.
