Jay Inslee knows that he will have to take a break from fundraising – and focus again on his very hard day job of being governor – this Saturday. That is when state law invokes a fundraising freeze for state officials, 30 days before the start of the legislative session.
So, you can imagine how desperate things are at the Inslee campaign, trying to come up with any compelling reason for somebody to give money to his campaign. After all, job performance is certainly not going to generate much.
The first of today’s two (so far!) fundraising pleas was from Donna Brazile, a Democrat National Committee officer with no discernible connection to Washington State to give her credibility. However, like previous Jay Inslee fundraisers, she did resign in disgrace from a very public position, so that evidently put her on the list of go-to folks.
In Brazile’s case, it was the Michael Dukakis campaign back in 1988, for lying to the media about soon-to-be-President George H.W. Bush. That gives her something in common with other Inslee fundraisers, such as:
Elliot Spitzer, who resigned as NY governor for paying prostitutes, then later hosted fundraiser for Jay;
Van Jones, who resigned as a White House “environmental” advisor because he’d publically suggested that the Bush administration didn’t stop 9/11 from happening because it wanted war, then later was the keynote speaker for a Jay fundraiser.
Guess Inslee can’t always count on the Democrats providing g the “A” team to help on his campaign, so he has to reach a little lower.

Jay Inslee should be paying me for remaining in this state for as long as I have after his election. My wife and I are planning to move out of this politically screwed over state in about a year or so, taking all of our assets with us. It’s not as bad as Boeing moving out of state, but our net worth is about a million and a half dollars that we’ll spend and invest elsewhere.
Clay, you and a lot more are fed up with our “governot” and the socialist democracy of Seattle.
I moved out of Seattle 35 years ago because I did not want to raise my kids there or send them to school in the Seattle SD. I grew up in a north Seattle suburb that is now a separate city, but the political climate is becoming so bad for the entire state because of the liberality that infests Seattle and King County is ruining the entire state making living here nearly unbearable.
Don’t let the door hit you in your brains on your way out, guys. It’s not like Seattle, King County, or Western Washington have any shortage of capital or skilled workers moving in here.
Just like the typical, liberal, secular-progressive moron… can’t comment intelligently so you resort to insults and ad hominem attacks. Now do everyone a huge favor, drop dead!
so you resort to insults and ad hominem attacks.
You mean like this?
…the liberality that infests Seattle and King County is ruining the entire state making living here nearly unbearable.
And yet, you’re still here.
Not in Seattle I’m not. The liberality is from you and your ilk that wants to impose your will on everyone else that doesn’t agree with your ideological world view. If you’d keep your idiotic ideals inside your own wall, it’s be a live and let live situation, but you can’t; you have to spread your vileness and filth on all.
The liberality is from you and your ilk that wants to impose your will on everyone else that doesn’t agree with your ideological world view.
Give an example.
If you’d keep your idiotic ideals inside your own wall, it’s be a live and let live situation, but you can’t; you have to spread your vileness and filth on all.
And yet, you’re still here — making the very ad homiem attacks you’ve falsely accused others of making.
“Disgraced Democrats.” Considering their present POTUS and 2016 presidential wannabees and generations of failed policies and politics, is there any other kind?
