This week’s Friday Funny features another look at our “green” governor’s weekly calendar, reviewing the latest data released by his office. And after the previous calendar showed that Inslee had worked a staggering 14 hours from August 22-28 – the most he’d worked in a couple months – there was some hope that maybe his actual governing work was on an upward trend.
Umm, not so much.
Turns out that from August 29 through Labor Day weekend Sunday (Sept. 4), Jay put in almost 4 – you read that right, four – hours of official work. And over half of that time was spent going to Friday Harbor for a nature preserve tour. He also managed to squeeze in three separate 30 minute phone calls with his staff, so he could show that they still had a boss.
Beyond that, taxpayers paid Inslee to spend the rest of the week on vacation, except for a couple fundraisers, one with the very deep-pocketed liberal team of Peter Goldman and Martha Kongsgaard in the Methow Valley.
So, at least he got to enjoy the scenery – and the money.
