The writers at Sightline must be a little antsy for attention in advance of Earth Day. Their desperation reached a new level today when they twice puts words in quotation marks in a headline over a story that admits the words are not a quote.

“We will not remove any unsafe oil rail cars from service.” That was the upshot of oil industry testimony at a recent rail safety hearing before the US Senate… To be fair, that isn’t a direct quote”.
But hey, what’s a little lying for a group which keeps in-funding from the liberal Progress Alliance of Washington a secret so it can claim to just be a little ol’ non-partisan non-profit that only cares about the environment (oh, and electing Democrats that will make sure their special interest friends get taxpayer money for their green political agendas.
