The top Democrat on the state House’s budget committee let the cat out of the bag Wednesday, admitting that he doesn’t like the state law that requires the Legislature to write a budget that balances for four years at a time – a law pushed through by Republicans in 2012.
Rep. Ross Hunter (D-Rich Guy) complains that such a law requiring the liberals don’t overspend taxpayer money is “really this weird technical
issue“, that only came about because “we wrote that thing in the middle of the night.”
If that’s the case, perhaps the Democrats should stay up later more often.
