Democrats favor a supermajority for $15 minimum wage. That’s interesting because, no matter how many time Washington State voters insist they want a 2/3 rule, Democrats don’t feel the same way about a supermajority for increasing taxes.
Question for liberals:
If a minimum wage increase needs supermajority approval, why doesn’t a tax increase need supermajority approval?

Murray also implies that supermajority is more likely to “stick,” avoid a move toward a ballot measure.
