In a truly inane op-ed, Democrat House Floor “Leader” Kris Lytton suggests it was “remarkable” that the legislature adjourned on time this year, because the state has grown “more complex”, and then she listed her wish list for more state spending supported by more state taxes which would have certainly kept the session running longer.
Even more humorous is that she says is committed to “education”, despite the fact her party has underfunded public education for 30 years, requiring the state Supreme Court to demand the Democrats start following the state constitution. After reading her demands for bigger government, with no reforms whatsoever, it’s easy to see why the court has such disdain for the party that has ruled Olympia since 1985.
