After months of delays, Bertha—the machine supposed to be drilling a tunnel beneath downtown Seattle for Highway 99—is not expected to resume tunneling until next year. The Seattle Times,
“An earlier estimate by Seattle Tunnel Partners, the project contractor, had the machine drilling again by Sept. 1. The new estimate is by the end of March 2015.”
