Washington Democrats’ “wealth tax” may sound like a good idea. After all, it would largely only impact four billionaires in our state. But there are serious risks – as past wealth taxes have shown.

In fact, most countries that have implemented wealth taxes – including France – repealed them after suffering the negative economic consequences of the rich simply moving away.
