It seems that plenty of folks must be getting some last-minute Christmas shopping done during the work day this week, judging from the lack of returned emails and phone calls here at Shift. And, we must admit – and you may have noticed – that we’ve missed writing a few of our daily stories as well over the last week.
But today we couldn’t miss highlighting Jay Inslee’s return to the national stage with his push for taxes the voters of Washington State have rejected repeatedly. But our “green” governor is pressing forward with his misguided tax-hike plans – perhaps he missed our story yesterday on the maxim that “there is no education in the second kick of a mule.”
He might have also missed the election results in Olympia, which we cover today. Even the die-hard liberals in the state’s capital city said “no” to the income tax plans of Seattle liberals, much to the surprise of the Left’s millionaires who bankrolled the campaign.
And finally, because who knows how many more times anyone will care what he says, we let retiring Senator Harry Reid get a few words in on Shift today – evidently Harry agrees with us that national Democrats are “worthless.”
At least, that’s what we read he said.
