The Daily Shift – December 07, 2016

On this “date which will live in infamy”, Shift salutes our veterans. And gives a different kind of “salute” – of the one-fingered variety – to one of the state’s most obnoxious liberal activist groups – Fuse – for deciding that this was a day for political posturing, not remembering the sacrifices of those who serve.

Also (potentially) falling into a typical liberal morass is the Democrat-led King County Council, which might be faced with having to select white male candidates (favored by grassroots activists) over women of color (favored by the quota police) for a couple state Senate vacancies. We also point out that Republicans handled their vacancy situation much better.

And Jay Inslee is featured in two separate stories today, one on his need to fundraise to make his fellow Democrat Governors happy (since evidently he is the best “leader” among their dispirited ranks), and the other on his need to raise taxes because that’s what Democrat governors do.

Congratulations to new (and returning) Republican State Senator Dino Rossi, who may be able to give Inslee some helpful advice on how to balance a budget without tax increases.
