The Daily Shift– October 12, 2016

Shift focuses on Seattle today because, well, that’s where the craziness runs amok these days. We start with Sound Transit, and its Seattle-centric $54 billion tax plan – and how the Proposition 1 campaign is getting a nice boost from the bureaucrats at the public agency thanks to an 8-page propaganda piece they just sent to every voter in the three-county Sound Transit taxing district.

We also look at everyone’s favorite Seattle Socialist, Kshama Sawant, and her ongoing battle with the Seattle police force. And, among those who would like to see that police force in action are a pair of Seattle business owners, who are dealing with the negative impacts of a nearby methadone clinic, and tell KIRO radio about their attempt to get Seattle officials to care.

At least we care at Shift.
