Happy Friday, and we have a series of funnies today for your reading pleasure. Our feature is on Jay Inslee’s calendar from last week, where we can see that, once again, he barely put in a day’s worth of official work in exchange for a week’s worth of public pay. Also worth a few laughs are the fundraising emails his campaign sent out today, begging for money to allow the campaign to respond to the “attack” that Jay likes toll lanes and that traffic congestion is bad.
And in the “it would be funny if it weren’t so sad” category, we have a couple entries. The first is about the Thurston County Democrats needing money so badly (apparently for a couple County Commission candidates) that they will allow noted bigot JZ Knight (of Ramtha fame) to be their largest campaign contributor – to the tune of $50,000. And, involving a sum 10,000 times what Ramtha is donating, the recently “negotiated” state employee union contracts will evidently cost the state a half billion dollars if approved next year.
Anyone else wonder if Jay Inslee will propose another state income tax – like he did in 2014 – to pay for those contracts, since of course the state must first pay for public schools, right?
