The eyes of the nation may have been on the first presidential debate, but many in our state were also focused on the second Gubernatorial debate. Now we saw much of the same from Jay Inslee, including a claim that he has always opposed a state income tax – even though he proposed a state income tax in 2014.
Unfortunately, the rules of the debate kept the candidates from actually asking any questions of their opponent, so such claims went unchallenged.
