We celebrate the end of another week by reporting on our hope that Jay Inslee will quit sending us emails about his need – absolute NEED – to raise $15,000 by midnight tonight. Thankfully, midnight is not too far way.
We can also celebrate two other local traditions that make writing easy – the “Seattle Process” and Democrats fighting with each other. This time Seattle’s famed willingness to bend over backward to stop anything that activists yell loudly enough about has consumed the long-planned North Precinct station for cops working north of the Ship Canal. Now that it is under “review”, it is all but dead for another decade or so. Also on life support is Democrat unity in the First Legislative District, where State Senate candidate Guy Palumbo is under attack on the district Democrats’ own Facebook site – and from two of the three Democrats who currently represent the District in the legislature – for his willingness to tell people what they want to hear, even if that means changing his speech for different audiences.
Go Hawks. And Dawgs. And Mariners. And sunshine. Have a good weekend.
