Given its non-partisan responsibility, the Washington Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) should take care not to enter into the political fray. Unfortunately, it has. The question is who holds the campaign watchdog agency accountable when it starts using public resources to advance a political agenda? And, as long as we are asking questions, why would officials not expand the new 520 bridge knowing the congestion experienced by commuters on the old bridge? Finally, perhaps if Seattle Mayor Ed Murray spent a little less time worrying about what’s happening across the country, the public wouldn’t have to deal with an unresponsive Seattle police force.
