Last week, Jay Inslee revealed his true, extremely partisan colors in a couple of truly shocking ways. Our green governor kicked off the week by holding an unhinged press conference where he launched an offensive attack on State Senate Republicans. Then, he cancelled all future meetings with the Senate Majority Leader Mark Schoesler.
The attack during the press conference and the cancellation of meetings with a fellow elected official were Inslee’s petty ways of getting back at Senate Republicans after they fired his ineffective and incompetent Secretary of Transportation the week before. Both instances reveal that Inslee, when faced with the choice, will always pick to participate in partisan politics rather than work as a leader.
Inslee claims that he does not believe it’s a good use of his time to meet this the Senate Majority leader during the legislative session. But, he has plenty of time to have dinner with union bosses and big-money campaign donors. The truth is that Inslee—just like his appointees—does not have the skills a good leader requires. His latest petty partisan moves only serve as further proof.
