Jay Inslee took the opportunity, days after the deadly ISIS terrorist attack in Paris, to politicize the issue of public safety and attempt to score what has been described as cheap political points. Worse, after declaring he would not concern himself with ensuring Syrian refugees accepted in our state clear necessary security standards, our green governor attempted to raise money off the tragedy via an email campaign to collect new supporters.
Inslee’s reaction to the relevant national discussion of security is entirely inappropriate. But, it does fall in line with what we’ve come to expect from him.
This isn’t the first time Inslee has used a tragic incident for his political purposes. And, given his track record, we don’t expect it will be the last.
This week, Inslee more than proved he is more concerned with following Democrat party line than with fulfilling his own leadership role as governor of our state.
As governor, Inslee’s primary responsibility is to residents of Washington State and not to his party. Unfortunately, our green governor refuses to recognize that fact.
