Former Democrat Governor and Attorney General Christine Gregoire came out swinging last week against the state Supreme Court’s ruling against charter schools. Calling the minority opinion “spot on,” Gregoire questioned the timing of the court’s ruling and referred to it as “not right” and “not fair.”
Gregoire’s criticism of the court’s ruling directly contrasts with her Democrat successor’s failure to do—or say—anything to help save the charter schools created by the state’s voters. Our green governor continues to ignore the issue, refusing to call a special session to correct the court’s error.
Evidently Inslee won’t do anything that might bother his $1 million dollar donors at the WEA…even if that means taking away what Democrat State Representative Eric Pettigrew wrote in an op-ed taking “what might have been these kids’ only shot.”
