We now have an idea of which initiatives Washington voters can except to see on the November ballot, thanks to the liberal special interests trying to find something to get voters excited about turning out this fall. The following is a list of high-profile initiatives that appear to have garnered enough signatures to qualify.
- Initiative 1433– pushed by Raise Up Washington, a union front group. I-1433 would raise the statewide minimum wage to $13.50 per hour and require employers to provide up to seven days of paid sick leave per year.
- Initiative 1464– pushed by a fake group called Integrity Washington and funded (hypocritically) by rich liberal outsiders. I-1464 would allow Washington voters to contribute $150 in taxpayer-funded donations (probably via a property tax hike) to legislative candidates every two years. The ultimate intention is clear: use taxpayer money to skew elections in favor of the far-Left.
- Initiative 1491– backed by New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg and Seattle billionaire liberal Nick Hanauer. I-1491 is a gun-control measure claiming it would prevent a person with violent tendencies from buying a gun or keeping a gun.
Bonus, though not a state-wide initiative:
Sound Transit 3 – Sound Transit board unanimously voted to ask voters for $54 billion. ST3 includes multiple regressive tax increases – raising the sales tax rate to 10% in much of the greater Seattle area and 10.1% in Seattle, a property tax increase of 25 cents per $1,000 valuation, an increase in car tabs, and (adding insult to increase) the fact that these taxes will never end.

They are all bad ideas, and should not become law.
Clay Fitzgerald says
NO, NO, NO AND NO!
tensor says
I wish you, and Shift’s founders, four times the success y’all had in preventing Gov. Inslee’s election.
Clay Fitzgerald says
Drop dead tensie boy.
Chan Bailey says
I believe we will succeed this time. Enough people have figured out what people like Inslee have done and are trying to do. Their lies and ideologies have caught up with them.
Clay Fitzgerald says
Yeah, and Gov. Jaybird is the laziest among many lazy politicians in the Dim party.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
Dems seem to have a problem with expanding business because it seems all the tax revenue comes from those who have worked hard to forge a good life to sustain themselves. Only thing a imitation minimum wage height will do is provide the unskilled worker in the welfare system and free entitlement programs a wage where they can lesson their work hours to sustain their status quo in a system they never wish to advance out of. All the liberals can do to stay in power is to buy a vote. Do remember though that socialism only works until they run out of everyone else’s money.
7up98682 says
Actually those welfare queens you talk about are corporations, and poor white people who work two jobs trying to keep their families together. Please explain exactly how socialism works. Is it anything like the republican’s and the Nazi’s are/were?
Chan Bailey says
He didn’t mention welfare queens, but since you brought it up….. Something everyone needs to understand – corporations don’t really pay taxes or government fees. Those costs, like any business cost, are passed on to the consumer. It would be more fair and honest to directly tax the consumer than play this silly shell game. Then the person struggling to pay the bills would be able to actually see and measure what the government is doing to them, and taking from them.
Clay Fitzgerald says
Chan, those on the left are just simple minded souls that really have no understanding of basic economics let alone how real wealth is created.
Chan Bailey says
I know – but I feel an obligation to try to educate them.
Clay Fitzgerald says
Well, good luck to you. I don’t believe for one second that they are educable.
Chan Bailey says
Thanks. I like to think there are still a few on the fringe who have some reasonableness left, and we may need them – soon. I am finding, however, that Tensor is really deep into the voodoo.
Clay Fitzgerald says
If ever there was one who is completely brain dead and can still sit up and make entries using a keyboard, it is tensor.
Terry Ballard says
Do you mean the KKK that the Democrats founded? Are you talking about the poor white folk who pay for those on welfare? I thought Bernie Sanders was a socialist Democrat? So why is keeping another family together other than my own my responsibility or Americas? How can my bad choices be someone else’s problem? Sorry but I worked my butt off for 35 years and what i have is not yours neither is the corporate wealth that you seem to be after. Do what everybody else did, work for it.
97logic says
Use your brain. Those democrats fled to the Republican party after the democrats passed the equal rights legislation in 1965.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
Your history is flawed. The Southern Democrats are still Democrats. The non-slavers Northern Union Democrats became Republicans. The Jim Crow Laws were written by The Southern Democrats.
Your half-truth to abolish the Jim Crow Laws is correct but the conference bill was passed by both houses of Congress, and was signed into law by President Johnson on July 2, 1964 NOT 1965.
My entire statement is the entire truth NOT a half-truth which is a full lie. Liberals like to cover up their own history.
Here is history behind your half-truth which only covered the Jim Crow Laws.

97logic says
It’s like talking to a brick wall. Never seen a Republican reference Wikipedia before usually they call it a liberal site. And your statements are BS. And yes while it was signed in 1964 it was called the civil rights act of 1965. I’m just glad you’ll be shinning again when Trump loses in Nov.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
To anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal, tell him the truth. The civil rights act abolished the Jim Crow Laws that the Democrats wrote. The Civil Rights Act Version Ayes in the House was D-153/244 (63%) and R-136/171 (80%). Ayes in the Senate was D-46/67 (69%) and R-23/33 (82%) It appears that 2/3rd Suppermajority was met and LBJ could not veto it. I guess those Democrats sure list the fight to the Jim Crow Laws to which they championed. So to say the passing of the Civil Rights Act was Democrat is another false narrative. To say the Democrats had anything to do with passing the 13th 14th and 15th Amendments is in its entirety not only a false narrative but a complete lie. Even the NAACP was founded by Republicans but the Democrats were the founders of the KKK and developer ofvthevrebel battle flag. So why would blacks support their own demise? Because the Democrats champion lawlessness and Islamic terrorism for a vote? You’re lying to yourself if you think Hillary Benghazi Clinton stands a chance. Yes It will be a historical moment when Obummer swears in Trump.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
Socialism always works great for the Democrats until they run out of everyone else’s money. Tell me again about the $20 trillion in debt under Obummer? Explain why Wall Street supports the Democrats in their campaigns with major campaign contributions? So Corporations follow the capitalist venue. I again miss the part of the poor white people who work 2 jobs to pay for the freeloaders who gets free entitlements/welfare for having fatherless children and/or sitting at home? How about those without a skill set and wishes to stay at minimum wage so when the imitation minimum wage gets raised, they choose to work less hours so they can continue to collect free entitlements/welfare? When did they make it my responsibility because people made unwise choices in life to have a butt load of family and have no means to support them?
97logic says
Civil rights act of 64 and voting rights act of 65. Two things you have that prove my point.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
Your false narrative view point was that the welfare queens are the corporations and the Northern Democrats vacated to form the Republican Party 110 years (1854) before the Civil Rights Act of 1964. As per the website you seem to discredit in your BS by all means provide one that differs. To piss off a liberal all you need is to tell him the truth is a true statement.
Terry-Stanley Ballard says
How’s that Obummer hope and change going for you?
7up98682 says
Obama put Bush’s war on the debt bill. He could have kept it on the credit card, and you wouldn’t have known it.
